Can anybody tell me what happened to the Troy Eagles team of last year? The last thing I saw was a name change to the Troy Spartans and a move to the IJHL . I can't seem to find their website. Does anybody know the story?

This question has brothered me for some time but I was just emailing my good friend Al Rooney who was the coach. Well I was informed the team folded and that he is moving on to a position in the European Pros coaching. I wish him well since he is one of the better people involved in Hockey.

Thanks for the info Brother99, my son played for Al and he was a positive force in preparing him for college hockey. Its great to hear that Rooney landed somewhere in the hockey world. It's junior hockey's loss, I hope Al makes it back to the states in the future. Junior hockey needs guys like Al to help kids make that jump to the next level. If you hear anything else, keep me posted.

He was in Holland and then hooking up with a German team. I don't think we will see him back anytime soon.

None so far but I would assume he is at Peak Performance Hockey schools again. He has been coaching summers there for years.
