I am rebuilding my desktop from a bare MB... NASTY infection. Can I get some ideas on virus protection? I am looking at Kapersky, Trend Micro, Panda and the MS Security Essentials. Norton and McAfee are not options here. I want to put something in before I go online. OS is Vista Ultimate. Thanks.

Dad: I use Kapersky, and have not had any issues in the year+ since I installed it. AND - Fryes had it for net FREE last weekend after rebate.
