My name is Matthew Ballantyne and I am currently a player on Central Washington University's hockey team.

I wanted to let everyone know that if you're looking for a dynamic place to play, while getting a fantastic education, Central may be the place for you.

Our program is young (eight years old), but we are building a conference with several teams in the area, and we are growing every month.

We give players the opportunity to run youth camps, which along with attendance at coaching clinics can pave the way for a player to become a coach, and we host events related to leadership skill building that last a lifetime.

We also have a program for financial aid that works to ensure players are getting the most aid (not loans) they can receive.

We also have a scholarship program in place with one of the banks in town that honors our players achievement both on and off the ice.

There are many other reasons to attend Central, those are just a few.
