Interesting item across my desk did slide...
A local kid got an invite to play in the 'latest & greatest' Jr A league to come along. I am not familiar with it.
Perhaps some of the long timers hereabouts can shed a bit of light? I remember some years back there were a gazillion or so "A" leagues sprouting like mushrooms over the landscape. Many if MOST seem to have disappeared back into the 'horsey stuff' that mushrooms are grown in.
This New & Improved offering is (as I understand it) called the CJHL. Hmmm.. sounds like a Canadian Jr League to me.
The team is the 'Drillers' and it is located in of all places Indiana, Pennsylvania! I was under the impression that cross border teams / leagues were not on the US agenda any longer. AND it is being ramrodded by our old friend, Jim Cashman of all people.
Any thoughts?

Rusty,

I am not familiar with the "Drillers" but that league from what I know is ok. I am more familiar with Pembroke as I know a number of kids that have graduated from there and gone on. It is a solid league and they do get attention from the scouts. A friend of my sons (Ryan Lasch) went on to St Cloud St. and did very well and currently on his way to the Swedish Elite. They have a number of kids playing and or signed pro contracts as well as in D1 schools. Most of the teams have been around for awhile which says something. My son almost went there but ended up in the MJHL instead.
Not sure if that helps or not but someone may have more info to pass on.

Wrong CJHL I think. I suspect it is in refrence to: Wiki file

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
