I finally found something interesting about the league in the Post Bulletin. Here it is.But, Fatis did say there has been a significant rule change made in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. The league voted this week to change a rule that has been in place for more than 10 years that stated a player needed to participate in at least eight regular-season games to be on a team's playoff roster. Now, mid-season, the league voted to allow a player to compete in the playoffs if he has just four games of service! This is what was posted about changing the rule that a player only needs to play in four regular season games instead of eight!!! Seriously MnJHL? Why are they turning this league into a gong show? Do you know of another league that continually makes significant rules changes during the middle of the season? In my eyes, that's deplorable. The league should be ashamed of itself. if that's a rule you want in place, fine. Make if for next season. But you just don't do those types of things mid-season. And don't even get me started on the whole "no bid to nationals for the regular-season league champion" bit. OK, that's my rant for today. Fatis was a little more level-headed than I am about this whole thing ... Now you all react to this!!! -------------------- Get the foil!!!

Pretty simple, a team like yours in the CSHL wouldn't have the chance because the second to last place team in the CSHL doesn't make the playoffs. The regular season means something in the CSHL. In the MnJHL, you in your second to last place team could acquire the players to win your playoff and go to Nationals. Those players need only 4 games with you to do so. In other words, it would be a complete farce. Well, that's exactly what the MnJHL has become with changing rules in the middle of the season and making the season meaningless. -------------------- Don't take yourself so seriously, no one else does.

XC,4 of your 13 teams have a worse winning percentage then 8 of our 9 teams. What's That say about the depth of your league? NOT MUCH! -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

One team???? When is the last time the MnJHL had 2 teams in the National Championship Game? That has happened twice recently in the CSHL. Oh, and the last MnJHL team to make it to the Championship Game is who? Dubuque. My guess is the CSHL will still be much more representative at the Nationals year in and year out than the MnJHL. The past 10 years pretty much prove that.

Lipjack, how did the CSHL do last year? Hawks beat the saintly Blues, and the Jacks tied Dbq. The Jacks made the crossover, but mysteriously, no CSHL teams did.Beyond that is just dust in the trophy case. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

So Xchek doesn't know how many games a player in the CSHL must play to get in the play-offs (even though he's in management) but someone told him it was six. Oh, six is so much better than four. Xchek, you want to repeat your little rant about loading up for the play-offs only insert that LARGE number SIX instead of FOUR. See what a HUGE difference it makes. Thanks for proving you don't know much about anything. Of course, everyone on this board has known that for years.
