yeah. any Icehawks Home game... hey MJ fans what is going on with our League? first we say the MJ season winner doesnt go to nationals, then we change rules mid season to allow teams to buy playoff teams, we have coaches getting fired for death threats on their players, other coaches leaving the bench to scream at fans, and now we have coaches refusing to let their players shake hands after the last regular season game?!?! I was at the Icehawks game and witnessed the worst sportsmanship i have ever seen in the MJ when all the coaching staff and most the players snubbed the Handshake at the end of the game. WHAT IS THAAT TEACHING OUR CHILDREN??? I would like to point out though that about 7 or so of the mustang players, including both goalies and a few nice kids stayed on the ice after being called off and shook the hands of all the icehawks. the fans responded in kind and cheered these young men on. SHAME ON THE MUSTANGS COACHING STAFF, and shame on the league for continuing to let these embarrassing things happen to this league. thaat coaching staff should be reprimended. above all else this is a game in the end, and Handshakes are a foundation of sportsmanship... this is sad and embarrassing... come on mustangs, Use Ur Head...

Dawg, you should get your facts straight. In the 6 years I've been following the Ice Hawks, we have never, and I mean Never spit or thrown beer on a player. I would know, I sit there. And what does that have to due with the lack of sportsmanship shown by the Mustangs coaching staff? And honestly, why are you defending that a$$clown anyway? -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

Well that was an 8 year old kid sitting across from the 'Nest, and he was thrown out too.Maybe if the Dawg would've taken a little control, things like that wouldn't happen. The Hawks security do take appropriate measures. The 'Nest was moved because we where accused of spitting by an opposing player who couldn't take the heat he was getting while serving his time. No one spit on him. And we've been back in our spot for the entire season this year with no issues, wierd. Funny thing was he asst coach didn't seem to mind the 'Nest when he was with the Hawks. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

In principle, this is a good idea for the other great players in any of the leagues, but when you think of logistics, this is all going to come down to which kids have the money.Travel will be very expensive, as players will be coming from several locations, whether via plane or bus, especially the Norpac and WSHL. You could have players from 4 or 5 states on this team. How will they travel? Find your way to Marlborough and we'll take care of the rest? Equipment, every All-Star team will have to purchase one or two jerseys, home and away, socks, and breezer covers, all for one tournament. I would assume they could use their existing helmets, gloves, etc. This could be well over $300 per player. Then you have the lack of practice time together. Another option would be for the 3rd place team, or any team, to just purchase their way in. Take the MJHL for example. The Hawks have won the Reg Season, which is meaningless for a bid to Nationals. The Jacks and the Lights are by far the 2 other best teams. Who's to say the Hawks and Lights make it to the Championship series, why couldn't the Jacks just take their entire team for the 'Best Of The Rest"? We all know how their ownership loves to toss around money, and then some. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

In today's economy, $800 is a lot, especially for those that are already paying $5k and up for a season. Also a lot compared to when the Hawks charge almost half that for the same trip. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

I never said it was a bad idea, but it's going to be limited to the kids with the money, not just the best players in the league. Do I have a solution, No, I'm just saying it all comes down to who has the money. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

Hooty, nice self-promotion.You would fit right in. Not the best announcers, but the 3rd best. If you paid attention, you would've read the BOTR tourney will be run simultaneously as the National tourney in Boston. -------------------- Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.
