I would say the next best draw is Granite City, and maybe their new home ice will help with the gate. Outside of the Jacks, not much to speak of with anywhere pulling more then 150 fans at an average game I've been at, not including playoffs.

Thank a soldier and a vet for fighting for our right to watch hockey.

ALAS... as do you!

A tall weather-worn cowboy walked into the saloon and ordered a beer. The regulars quietly observed the drifter through half-closed eyelids. No one spoke, but they all noticed that the strangers hat was made of brown wrapping paper. Less obvious was the fact that his shirt and vest were also made of paper. As were his chaps, pants, and even his boots, including the paper spurs. Truth be told, even the saddle, blanket and bridle on his horse were made entirely of paper.

Of course he was soon arrested for rustling...

The Owls averaged 400 per game last year with most of their fans showing up in September, October, and February. Sunday games were terrible draws as between 100-200 showed up. Hopefully the league will try to make the games more of a Fri-Sat thing this year. All teams should only be forced to play one to three Sunday home games per year.

Spooner averages probably about the same in the course of a season with probably a steady showing throughout the year. Maple Grove and Little Falls gets about 50 fans per game which is terrible.

Here is my estimate average per game

Rochester- 1,168
Spooner- 432
Isanti-421
St. Cloud-298
Edina-149
Bloomington-141
Hudson-127
Little Falls-89
Maple Grove-69

Get the foil!!!

To get more fans in the stands the teams need to do some marketing. Get the players out in the community doing stuff. I bet if you took a survey of the residents in Edina, Maple Grove, or Hudson they wouldn't even know there's a junior hockey team in town.

I would have to say that the Owls have the 2nd best attendance in the mnhjl.
